The custom emotion sound feature of Messenger Plus! is still extremely popular and its growing popularity caused the sound servers to overload in the last couple of weeks. A fifth server was recently added for the feature but one of the disks of the main database server died today under pressure. With 25 million sounds sent every week, I think it’s safe to say it had a good and fulfilled life. The disk should be replaced soon and the other servers are also being upgraded in prevention for the future. I took this opportunity to update the random sound script, you’ll now have better chances to get a different sound on each try.
